What this book is

A working manual for using AI on the tasks that already fill your week, written for people who have never used an AI assistant and for people who use one badly.

Most AI books either sell you a revolution or teach you to prompt in the abstract. This one takes twenty ordinary jobs — answering email, writing up a meeting, building a report, fixing a spreadsheet formula, reviewing literature, tailoring a résumé — and shows the whole workflow: the prompt that works, the output you get, and the part you still have to check yourself.

The rule the whole book runs on

AI drafts. You verify. Every chapter ends with what its case study still checks by hand, because a fluent answer and a correct one are not the same thing.

Who it is for

Students, researchers, healthcare professionals, writers, entrepreneurs, educators, and office professionals. No technical background is assumed and no jargon is used before it is explained.

Questions

Before you buy

Do I need to pay for ChatGPT or Claude?

No. Everything in the book works on the free tiers. Chapter 2 covers what the paid versions add and whether it is worth it for your work.

Will this be out of date in six months?

The interfaces will change; the methods will not. The book teaches how to instruct and verify, which has stayed constant across every model release so far.

I have never used an AI assistant. Can I start here?

Yes. Chapter 1 assumes nothing and explains every term before using it.

Are the case studies real people?

No. They are composite characters built from common situations, and the book states this in the disclaimer.
